Overview
More
Steeped in centuries of legend and surrounded by the dramatic Highland scenery of Ben Rinnes, the village of Aberlour lies at the very heart of Speyside, where the Lour burn joins the River Spey. The exceptionally pure, soft spring water used for making Aberlour whisky is drawn from nearby natural springs. In this special place, the resources of nature and the founder’s passion for making the best single malt combine to make the generously multi-layered whiskies of Aberlour.

Brilliant tour and gift shop. very warm welcome from the start. Even got to see some old pictures of my grandfather and grate grandfather as they both worked there. Smashing drams at the end. Totally enjoyed our afternoon. Will probably be back very soon

Great tour, do the casks from the past tour, we enjoyed it as it was very informative and you don't need to do the whole distillery again so a good choice if you have already done a few places. The guide was lovely, very accommodating...More

The last distillery we visited on our road trip around the Highlands. Jonathan was our tour guide and he was just fantastic. The tour starts with a brief history of whiskey and after how the distillery began. Again, got to see another part of the...More

On this visit to the distillery, we did the Casks from the Past tasting. In this tasting, you get to taste several single casks from the distillery, albeit from the Chivas Bros. Distillery Reserve Collection bottles and not from casks. I highly recommend the tour,...More

Thanks very much for your review and we are glad you enjoyed your tasting. Maybe next time you are in Speyside you could book for our new tasting called Chronicles of the Cask which does include Aberlour from the cask. Thanks The Aberlour Team

The first stop on a 4- distillery "tour" of Speyside, and the best. A beautiful setting, a highly informative tour with a charming and very knowledgeable guide, Susan, and finishing with a highly entertaining and enjoyable tasting and nosing session of 7 malt whiskies, where...More

Great tour, interesting information. Still a traditional distillery, so it is very enjoyable. Great whiskey tasting experience. Have drivers kit for sale, just in case 😀
