Nestled at the foot of Ben Rinnes, in the heart of Speyside, lies The GlenAllachie Distillery (Est 1967). Acquired in 2017, The GlenAllachie Distillery is 100% Scottish owned and managed, making us one of the few independently owned distilleries in Scotland. The most exciting part of rediscovering a brand is learning about the depth, character and quality that lies deep within each cask - we've unlocked an exceptional single malt, do you dare to discover? Great Place to visit

We had a trip here on 11th September and it was fantastic. Brenda was fantastic in giving us great insight into the story of the distillery and the journey it has made and the passion from the top down really shines through. The virtual tour is very interesting and as it was a Saturday we kindly got a quick walkround which was a real bonus. We tasted 3 whiskies and for a curveball a 7 year old aged Panamian rum aged in GlenAllachie whisky barrels. Being a big rum fan too this was a real success! Not knowing much about GlenAllachie all 7 of us came away completely i awe of the experience and the quality of the dram. All variations we have tasted so far are superb. The trip was for my fathers birthday and he loved it.

Visit one of the few Independent Distilleries in Scotland!

Our tour of The GlenAllachie Distillery was excellent, especially considering the COVID restrictions that were in place. Recently under new ownership (coming from the excellent GlenDronach), GlenAllachie is one of the few independent distilleries in Scotland. The whisky for the tasting was excellent, and the shop held some wonderful "only found here" discoveries.

I wish all distilleries did tours in this format!
A pre-prepared film takes you through the distillery in the middle of production day with commentary from both the distillery worker and your guide, while you enjoy your drams!
It’s a great way to absorb the production process in a relaxed atmosphere before you go and tour the distillery proper, which is well paced and leaves no sore feet standing around waiting for a tour guide to do their spiel in situ shouting over machinery.
Graham was brilliant very knowledgeable and obviously proud of everything they are doing at Glenallachie - proving to me once again that the small independent distillers do the best tours.
Highly recommended tour for anyone new to whisky right through to enthusiast - although for the latter I highly recommend upgrading to the handfill cask drams - they are superb!

Excellent value for money

Really informative and a good range of whisky to try. Drivers had samples to take home in a nifty little bag, and a nice mini Cairns tasting to keep. Knowledgable host, informative video and a chance to visit the distillery itself. Would highly recommend this tour

I attended the Premium Experience virtual tour. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, Graham the guide was particularly knowledgeable. I was aware of the 15yo prior to the visit which is Dundee cake in a glass. The cask finishes on the tour were even better. I can recommend this tour as it was very personal and friendly experience from an independent distillery.

Amazing value for money! Brenda was a very lovely tour guide, all the staff were fantastic, we had a lovely personalised experience. Can’t recommend enough! Genuine authentic scotch distillery.

Amazing experience, Brenda was a fantastic guide and it was a wonderful blend of virtual tour (great that we could pause for more in for or to ask questions) and a quick walk around the distillery (by which point we could tell what we were looking at!).
The tasting samples were a good mix and having them in small bottles to takeaway was a great idea and very considerate of those driving.
It all felt very friendly and personal, so glad we went to Glenallachie!

Well worth a visit!

We visited on 18th August, taking part in the Premium tasting and tour. As luck would have it, the distillery had only just started offering a quick walk through the production area again, which was a very pleasant surprise! Our experience was run by Graham, who was fantastic, really getting in to the details of what the distillery was about. I was already aware of GlenAllachie and Billy Walkers strong use of Sherry cask finishes, however the distillery exclusive single cask was delicious and couldn't resist leaving without a bottle. Even better knowing its a great way to support one of the few remaining independent distilleries.
