Did not do the track but great scenery all around, even with the overcast day I visited. Its not everyday (for me) that you get to see such landscapes and beauty like that.

Very pretty iconic for a Volcano, I would suggest taking a flight to see its beauty. If tramping be prepared for anything it is a very hard walk but the views are stunning.

Went past Mount Ngauruhoe as part of the Tongariro Crossing. Incredible site but a very tough walk unless you are reasonably fit. This is not a stroll in the park!
