Beautiful beach, and more
Jun 2021
I came to Mudjin Harbor on a day trip from Provo. We took the 9:30am ferry from Provo to Sandy Point (North Caicos), spent 2-3 hours at Bambarra Beach, then went back up the road to Mudjin Harbor for another few hours. A great day!

If you follow my schedule, you'll probably first want to get lunch at Mudjin Bar and Grill, which is a perfectly acceptable beach lunch spot -- nice view, cold beer, average food. Best I can tell, it's the only decent lunch spot on Middle Caicos.

After lunch we took two short walks. First, we walked down the sandy trail to the beach, passing an enormous curved cliff with a few benches at the base. It was very nice, and would've been a good spot for a swim if we hadn't just come from Bambarra Beach. I see other commenters have suggested the water here is too rough to swim, but I didn't get that impression.

The other walk was less obvious, so I'd recommend asking the waitress at Mudjin Bar and Grill about it. Ask how to get to the "Secret Beach" -- you'll have to walk 20-30 feet in the right direction before the paved path becomes obvious, so it's good to have some direction. Once you find the paved path and reach the pinnacle of the cliff, the views are amazing. Follow the path for 70 yards or so and you'll reach its end, where it plunges into a slot in the rock...that's the staircase down to the Secret Beach. It's narrow and sandy and dark, so be careful. But once you get down those stairs, you'll understand what the fuss is about. I don't think it'll be the primary swimming spot for your day trip, but it's a very cool location, cut off as it is from the rest of the beach.

Bigger Picture: If you are spending some time in Provo and are tired of the tourists and want to see a different, more authentic side of Turks & Caicos, you *have* to take a day trip to North and Middle Caicos. And if you take a day trip to North and Middle Caicos, you *have* to go to Mudjin Harbor. You'll be glad you did.

A must stop while in Middle Caicos
Mar 2020
This is the top attraction in Middle Caicos. Beautiful water colors and stunning views as your climb up on the rocks. Very windy though so hand on to your hats!

Prettiest Beach

Well worth a day trip from Provo via ferry and rental car. It was not cost prohibitive and a fun adventure ending with the most gorgeous of beaches.

A Beach With A Cave
Apr 2019 • Couples
This is one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve been to! Bonus - hardly no one was there! Rocks and shells line the sand. The “hike” around the harbor is more of a short walk on cobblestone that takes you to an amazing cave!

Amazing Almost Secluded Beach
Dec 2019
Everyone that visits North and Middle Caicos, which I highly recommend when visiting TCI, should definitely visit Mudjin Harbor. The beach is clean with fine white sands and the water is clear with turquoise waters. As mentioned by many others, I would not recommend this beach for snorkeling as the water is very rough but it is perfect to lie back and relax. We only saw three other people the entire time we were here. You have to drive through a private drive of a resort to get to the access point and you should definitely bring your own supplies; there is actually a little cafe next to the beach though if you need food. Some notes: at low tide, you can walk out to some of the rocks further out for a more unique vantage point. And there is a path next to the restaurant that takes you to incredible views and eventually a small, secluded beach in the cliff side. We are all glad we stopped here!

Beach all to ourselves
Nov 2019
We had no idea how beautiful this beach was going to be when we stopped. We spent hours here and had the beach to ourselves the entire time. Sand is wonderfully soft, and there are areas where shells wash up for looking at. We didn't swim since the current looked strong, but walked in the surf to keep cool.

This is a must stop when heading over to North/Middle Caicos. I highly recommend staying on Middle Caicos and getting away from all the tourists of Provo! You won't regret it! Definitely a hidden gem!
