The area was breathtaking. We drove through Glencoe and stopped in a few places just to admire God's handiwork. He certainly wielded that paintbrush perfectly when he created Glencoe. We came here because I wanted to see the site of the infamous historic Campbell massacre....More

A 12-mile long dead-end road ... what’s to like about that? Lend me your ears, and I’ll tell you! Not a drive for the faint-hearted, as there are some blind bends and summits, and drops to the river, which you follow all the way to...More

We drove from Edinburgh in a rental with stick shift and left hand drive (coming form USA) but the trip was absolutely worth it, the sights and nature was in par with some areas of Switzerland..

That's pretty much it, folks. It really is like driving through a gorgeous painting. Driving does take a fair amount of patience, but you'll be happy you aren't able to speed through this valley. Make sure you don't block all of the passing stops (the...More

Drove as far as we possilbly could and every turn produced spectacular views. It is a single track road, so be prepared to pull over many times, but the drive is so worth it!

Today, October 4 in 2018, we made the drive on this single lane road, in search of the location where the famous scene of Skyfall was filmed. The weather was quite horrible, but the scenery was stunning. And most of all, we found the location...More

it starts with the most photographed mt/hill in Scotland. Stunning hills, river, waterfalls. A gem. Just 12 miles each way (plan on 2 hrs total drive),due to one track road, which has plenty of passing turnoffs. Well worth it.
