We had a very bad experience with the manager of the ticket office. Lombardia has an offer of free skipass for children. We kindly asked for this offer when purchasing the skipasses only to be told it was not valid if the kid was skiing??? The next day the manager of the ticket office told us if was not for the employees to know about what offers they have and although the offer should have been given to us we paid so they refused to refund the money. After having returned 3 times to speak to the person we were told was the manager, although we doubt he was the manager as other people told us he was not, he finally refused to refund the money because we could not prove that our 5 year old son was living with us. Both parents had prove of residency in Lombardia but he did not accept that our 5 year old son has the same address as us parents. We were shocked and outraged by this behaviour and left with nothing but a feeling of having meet the ticket officer with the worst customer service.
The resort is a good size for a couple of days skiing and the slopes were great for beginners to intermediate. Everyone else we met in the skiarea were very friendly

We've been here several times over the years and love the place. The slopes are rarely too busy and the ski lifts always seem capable of keeping the queues to a minimum. The ski area is expansive, especially if you take the cable car over to the other area but the area isn't too easy for beginers as we have found when taking friends in the past. There are plenty of restaurants and places to get food and drinks and the views can be as good as anywhere in the alps. Happy to recommend and happy to return to Motta.

Only few days ago we returned from ski vacation in Madesimo.Skiarea is small but big enough for the weekend with fast lifts and very good slopes. My complain that in three days we were they didn’t open all lifts and there were good weather and a lot of snow so you must use application to know what is open.
There is very narrow dangerous road to Madesimo especially after big snowfall that road loose width

My son and I are competent intermediate skiers and found the combination of pistes really enjoyable. There are 13 lifts and 39 ski runs in total including a 3km blue run and 2km black run with many red and blue runs. There were limited queues when we went less than 1 minute and the restaurant prices on the piste were reasonable.

The best part however, is the friendliness of the people and the warmth of welcome you receive.

great ski area, sunny down hills, greatly reworked slopes on a regular basis, artificial snow everywhere when needed, several bars and restaurants for a pause while skiing. Highly recommended.

If you are not staying at Madesimo itself, you can stay at cheaper venues in Campodolcino and use the express train that goes up to the ski resort in less than 5min and the cost is included in the ski ticket fee.

Most runs open when we arrived but while the amount of snow was not as plentiful as the last couple of years it was of excellent quality. Most importantly this is the only resort where i have experienced NO QUEUES even on a Sunday when the Milanese are visiting. Snowed like a bugger the last 2 days and it helped what was good skiing turn into great skiing

What a pity that such a potentially nice area is run in such a very family non-friendly manner. Ski passes for kids are very expensive (also for small children), and the so-called baby park (i.e. for real beginners) is not even included. When our group complained about this and the fact that we weren't informed about this when we bought our passes, we were also met with a very rude behaviour. So unfriendly prices are topped with extremely poor attitude towards customers. In short, this place can unfortunately not be recommended for families.

We went as a large group during March 2016, and had perfect weather to allow us to enjoy the incredible views and progress as skiers/snowboarders. The people working on the mountain were very kind and helpful no matter how many times we needed their assistance getting on and off the ski lifts and causing a bit of a backlog! The restaurant at the top of the mountain is also a wonderful setting to relax and warm up! I would recommend asking about the night time skiing. A bit advanced for me but looked incredible!

We've been there early December. Usually go to Austrian part of Alps and this was our first time in Italy and I think we're going to be visiting this resort from now on.. The surrounding is beautiful, so many routes for skiing and deep in snow. Suitable for families with children.

We skied here on the week begining 12th march 2016. The snow varied from ice to powder and all in between. This a ski area for the good intermedate as blues run in with reds and can be steep and busy at times. Mota at the other end of the resort can be reached by a ski bus for 2 euros from Madessimo town centre or you can cut through to the blue slopes just beside of Larrices mountain resturant on a service trail if the red/black cimo sole runs is to much for you to tackle. Saturday and Sunday are very very busy with the locals but Monday to Friday are very good and you can some times have the run to yourselves.
