Great beers in a beautiful Brewery
Aug 2018 • Family
The tour of the brewery takes a bit more than 1 hour! Kids are welcome. This brewery has a particular way of brewing and the guide go through each steps. At the end a free tasting out of a 50,000ltrs cask!
The tour costs 9.80€ and at the end a bottle is offered!
Definitely a must...

Some of the best Bavarian beers I've had.
Jul 2017 • Couples
We stopped in the area, travelling through Bavaria towards the Black Forest. This was a planned visit, and I'm so glad we did. Excellent quality Bavarian beer styles (I drank my way through most of their available brews). And I had maybe the best meal of the trip here - the roast pork knuckle was INCREDIBLE - and I'm not even that much of a pork fan.

Service was excellent, wait staff were attentive and prompt. Our waitress soon figured out I was drinking my way down the list, and was predicting my next selection by the end of the evening x'-D

Absolutely worth going a little out-of-the-way for!

Secret gem inside Germany
Aug 2015 • Solo
I visited Baden Wartenberg in 2015 for work and had numerous chances to visit Berg brewery. Each time I stayed for some excellent German food served up comfort food style. The beer is absolutely top notch and represent the traditional German brewing methods in its purity. It shows, and the beer cellar is absolute heaven. Cold walkin; cases, 2L bottles, 5&20L kegs and also available old fashioned wooden 20L kegs with rentable tapping equipment ala hammer and brass tap.

I haven't yet snagged one of those wooden kegs, but it is a goal to return someday for one.

Great Tour of the Brewery!
Feb 2016 • Friends
The Berg Brauerei (Berg Brewery) is a small family owned brewery that has been running since 1466. All their brewing ingredients are local and their beer is really upper class. They offer tours where you can see how beer is made. I have to highly praise them for this because the tour we attended was fantastic, very informative and most of all cheap in price. You get to drink at least two beers on this tour, one of which you can personally pour directly from the steel keg. A must see and do when in the area. It is also possible to attend a beer brewing course. Tours need to be booked in advance, and are in German. I do not know if they offer it in English...
