What a shame. This is a spectacular chateau and often has exhibitions and we have been several times. However on our visit (summer 2015) we were nearly burnt to death due to the lack of any fire alarms, fire evacuation procedure and safety awareness amongst the staff. Sound dramatic. Well four of us went to the Art Exhibition and having... More

A lovely building which has a delightful cafe attached. The lady who runs the cafe is delightful and very friendly. A nice break when driving around the area.

A very well restored castle with an echo room where if you stand at opposite angle you can whisper and they will hear your voice as coming from the wall! Around Christmas they have a beautiful exposition of hand made statues for the crèche.

A nice castle with a friendly laid back atmosphere. The guide they issued was well pitched and informative. The castle is beautiful in the midst of amazing scenery. Definitely worth a visit but it wont fill more than an hour of your time - worth popping round to the restaurant at the back though! The main thing I liked about... More

The free view from the outside is actually the best part of the castle. Inside there is nothing except for an irrelevant exposition of the work of a sculpture/painter. There is no point paying the entry fee as the outside is much nicer.
