Overview
More
SIBU Sanctuary is a 50-acre jungle garden reserve and wildlife sanctuary located in Nosara, nestled between the Rio Nosara and Rio Montana. We provide care and rehabilitation to injured, orphaned, and displaced wildlife, specialising in golden mantled howlers. Our goal is to ultimately return them back to the wild through our Step Down Release Center. Those who cannot be released due to serious injury or illness receive lifetime care. SIBU offers Educational Visits twice a week by Advanced Reservation Only (please find the visit request form on our website). We cater to visitors who wish to know more about the plight of Costa Rica's arboreal wildlife with the effect of man's encroachment into their habitat and to learn about our rehabilitation efforts. Please note that we are NOT a petting zoo. These animals are all slated to be returned back into the wild. No interaction is allowed! Visit our website to learn more about our visits or our volunteering program!

this was nice but didnt have many animals. I thought we would see more then just a few monkeys and a pig. Lots of beautiful trees and flowers to learn about.

One thing I liked about this animal sanctuary is that it has the purpose of releasing the animals back into the wild when they have been healed. A labor of love on a shoe string budget.
