We came to Mt.Cook and had a whole afternoon spare on arrival. The man in our hostel said the Hooker valley track was an easy 3-4 hour at most track so we set off. Easily found. Easily followed and well maintained. 3 suspension bridges over...More

The track is pretty crowded (especially during summer) but that doesn't mean it's not worth a visit. The track itself is already stunning with the bridges and the streams but the best part of the track is the end of it. When your standing in...More

There were several trails in this area , all of which have great views of the Cook mountain range. The glacial waters of the lakes were stunning.

We have done this walk before in warmer months and loved it. We came back to do and see it covered in snow. It took almost twice as long due to the path not marked for winter walks. As daylight time is less would start...More

I'm sure if you saw other photos of this walking track you would see better views of the place. We did however end up going at a day when there was thick fog blanketing the alpine mountains. There was even overcast daylight which was ruining...More

Took my parents on this track and loved it greatly! Definitely ideal for young and older ones :). there were 3 swing bridges so you don't have to walk all the way.
