Lots of beaches to pull over and enjoy. Slow roads that require concentration. Beautiful views all over. Stop and enjoy

Great views from Shakespeare point. Interesting Captain Cook visit in 1769. Was a hidden gem but watch the gravel road as may be dangerous in wet weathet

Picturesque location, its a must see whilst travelling the peninsula. We found Coromandel peninsula is the best of the North Island.

The bay is lined with beautiful, clean and soft sand beaches. The ocean is clean and warm (we visited in March), but be careful of the strong current and rips.

think long beaches, good surf, cliffs with extra long views and the famous Cathedral Cove to enjoy. A bit windy but Captain Cook loved it.

We have been to Mercury Bay before, but by land. Now son-in-law has got a boat. A great day or two cruising around this beautiful bay, with lovely beaches for swimming and barbecues. Scenic. And good fishing.

Mercury bay boasts a collection of the finest beaches, Cook Beach, Lonely Bay and Shakespeare's cliffs. From Whitianga you also can easily reach Hot Water Beach and Cathedral Cove. Perfect location.
