Nevada de Ruiz is a vocalic area. The air is cool and fresh. Birding in fantastic. The beautiful and unique Bearded Helmetcrest is something you won’t miss.

The vistas are incomparable and the landscape is like being on the moon. Worth a day trip from Manizales for sure. We booked a guide for the day but if you have a car you can simply drive to the park entrance and pay directly...More

These are the best termales in the area. It’s a bit of a drive to get there but the landscape along the way is incredible. The termales themselves are high in the paramoa and it can be cold so dipping into the hot water is...More

We took a day trip from Hacienda Venecia to the park (Nov 2017). There is a video information session when you reach around 3500 meters. Then you travel up an additional 5 km. The views are incredible. Definitely worth visiting.

Don't miss out on this trip up the volcano. Beautiful landscapes from a different world. Plants, birds, views. Loved it. Stay at the Termal Hotel up the mountain.

For sure is an experience you have to have if you visit Manizales. Amazing landscapes, very special vegetation before you get there and if you are lucky you can see rabbits and eagles. It is a spectacular place that you can't miss.

If you like to run. Just take a car to laguna negra near to nevado del ruiz. You can run from there to rio guali and come back. 16km+. Ask to jose palma in laguna negra where you can go is very good man.

The tour guide, drivers, and other staff were very friendly and courteous. Great service, that which is rarely seen in Colombia. Everything was fantastic, exceeded expectations. Not to mention the great scenery and the hike itself.

Yes, I took my kids there three times and they did good. They could feel a little dizzy and shortness of breath is also a possibility because of the altitude.
