Great swim before flight

The fact that this beautiful beach is just a short drive from the airport is fantastic as we were able to go for some sun and swimming before our flight home. Water was a bit... read more

Sand cool under foot. Long stretch of beach, perfect for walking along. Only thing is the sea grass, but that's nature

Whats there not to like about this beach. Its gradual, sandy, very blue water and a great view of the Maria Islands. Very nice beach!

On windy days you can watch all the surfers and on calm days you can enjoy a fabulous swim. We'd recommend Marcus for sun beds and umbrellas EC$10 for a bed) - he's so helpful and will keep an eye on your belongings.

We were there three times in one week and each visit was slightly different. The first visit was Independence Day, and the St Lucians filled up the treed area in amongst the trees and parking areas. There were a number of them playing with a soccer ball and going in the water as well. In front of the Reef restaurant,... More

We were advised by one of the locals to head to Sandy beach. Staying in the Soufriere area and glad we made the drive. The water was incredibly nice, and save a handful of local residents and a few tourists, empty. At lunchtime we ate at Reef Bar. Reallu reasonable and very nice to get away from the crazy prices... We were staying on the east side of the island in Micoud and Sandy Beach was the most accessible beach for us. On the first day we rented our beds from Marcus. Easy to find just walk to the beach from the reef bar and the beds are the only ones there. Marcus will also help get drinks from the... More

The fact that this beautiful beach is just a short drive from the airport is fantastic as we were able to go for some sun and swimming before our flight home. Water was a bit cooler and wavier than Caribbean side of the island, but not substantially so. Nice that it feels so remote, and has a different look than... More

Loved visiting this beach as it is a great spot to relax with many parts/areas for privacy, people watching, kiteboarding and sailing.

We always stop here on our way in and out of St Lucia via Vieux Fort...its close to the airport, the water is a bit rough due to being on the Atlantic so not the best for weak swimmers or small children who could get swept out. Great spot to windsurf though...very few people and theres a great little bar/resto... More
