We (two adults of 31 and 48) did not enjoy this place as much as others here on this site did. The museum objects aren't that intrestingly arranged, the scraps of newspaper cutting that can be found on several spots look old fashioned and not inviting to read. Snacks are limited in the lunch room (that came with a real... More

This museum exhibits highlights of many years of combing the beaches. Items include boats and boat parts, parts of planes which crashed in WWII, barrel contents rusted together. There's a huge bottle collection. There was a story about a ship getting in a hurricane. Although it is amazing what one can find on the beaches, it is still not as... More

Interesting to see what is found on the Dutch beach. Everything is in German, English and Dutch. Its amazing to see all the find from all these years. It was raining, but most of the musuem is inside so that was no problem.

Great! Very interesting to see. Incredible to see what's on the beach found. We did not have much expectations, but it was really great to see.

Visiting Texel, this place is definitely worth a visit. One can not image what washes up the beach of Texel during the annual storms. The accompanying stories are even better. Just make a stop a have a look.

Very nice and interesting museum. Amazing to see all the stuff that drifts ashore. Fortunately we are Dutch so we enjoyed the stories that were told. Very nice for children too.

This place is DEFINITELY worth a visit. It is chock-a-block with stuff that has been washed up on the beach over the years, and all that stuff is beautifully displayed in indoor and outdoor exhibits. It's shocking and interesting and very curious. The only problem is that the owner barely speaks English, and a very informative video that talks about... More
