The ruins of this castle are interesting for a short visit. Apart from the castle also the area around It is beautiful for a walk or a cycling tour.

Better known as Ruine van Brederode. This place is open to the public a few times for a couple of hours per week. Check out their website for the latest, current info. It has a rich history, which is documented all around the terrain. This makes for an interesting visit. When I visited there was a temporary art exhibit inside... More

I visited this site in summer and we had a great time. It is a castle that was built in 1282 and the main part of the castle is still standing. We climbed up right to the top and over looked the site. It has a mote! It costs 3 euro for adults and 1.50 for kids. You walk around... More

The old ruins of the Castle stand proud - as they have been for centuries. Check out the history of this place! It is an interesting stop for a bike ride through the region.

Kasteel Brederode is situated in a beautiful landscape:just east of KENNEMER DUINEN nature reserve and north of green and residential BLOEMENDAAL village. After enjoying the ruins I hopped on my bike to the beach at PARNASSIA. On warm summer sundays nearby BLOEMENDAAL AAN ZEE becomes a clubbers paradise and music is heard in the nature reserve as well.

Close to the hotel Duin and Kruidberg there is the ruin of the Castle Brederode. The castle can be visited during some part of the year, during a few days of the week (wednesday until sunday). The skeleton of the main building is still in tact, in fact a lot of the walls are in such a state that you... More
