The cemetery and memorial are beautifully done and are a great tribute to our fallen soldiers. Go visit and pay your respects to those that fought and lost their lives for freedom from tyranny. Lot's of history in the area and it makes you thankful to know that their are men willing to do what is right. God bless those... More

Not my first visit and not my last. It never fails to amaze me how beautiful and tranquil these cemeteries are. I could spend hours looking round and paying my respects to those that lie within the grounds.

Sad because it IS the last resting place for US Military who perished in WWII. The grounds are considered US territory upon entering the area in the rolling hills of Holland's southernmost province of Limburg. The US Flag flies there and it is beautiful and a peaceful place. Each grave is adopted by a Dutch family to assure that on... More

A pre-arranged meeting with ABMC Staff and Dutch Foundation for the Adoption of American Graves at Margraten went flawless. The staff was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and kind. A most important place with a most important mission, extremely well executed. Proud and glad to have visited and I will do what I can assist with the mission of the Dutch Foundation.

The cemetery is very well put together. The entrance monument is particularly moving and my favorite of the four American Cemeteries in Europe that I have visited. The employees for the Battlefield and Monuments Commission were top-notch and very informative. They also offer tours for free if you schedule in advance. The facilities were clean and the parking and roads... More

This incredible memorial is a testament to the lasting appreciation of the Dutch people for the role that Americans played in their liberation during WWII. Every hero interred here or with a name on the Walls of Honor have been adopted by local Dutch families who come out periodically throughout the year and honor them with flowers & tributes so... Visited on a cold, windy and wet October afternoon, which felt fitting. There isn't much in the way of facilities, but ample opportunity for quiet reflection and an opportunity to discuss the sacrifice made with a generation for whom the war is very much a part of history.
