A bit old-fashioned Museumpark in stunning surroundings
Aug 2019
We were here on a beautiful day at the end of August 2019. The museum introduces you to Jewish, Arab and Roman cultures and religions through three style-built villages. It is not a glossy or high tech museum, but the area is more than beautiful. Also nice for children to play around. Do not expect the museum staff to act as Roman or Arab actors, you have to do that yourself. Uneven terrain with unpaved paths, therefore not suitable for wheelchair users.

Villages as Jesus would have seen them, but too little on the world religions
Oct 2015 • Family
Interesting idea: Let us build villages that take you 2000 years back, to the stories that you would read in the bible. And on sunny days, the villages also come to life.
Interesting that the government of Oman sponsors the Arab village, makes it special.
What I miss is a good description of the differences of the 3 world religions. Considering they all have the same roots, it would be so useful and important to explain the similarities, differences and interpretations - in kids language ! That would make it a perfect contemporary museum of the past.

A cultural experience in the woods
Aug 2014 • Family
The idea of the park is nice; it is supposed to show the three main religions. They have constructed parts of a Roman village, a Jordan village and a few others. During high season there is costumed staff informing about that specific time/place. Tea is offered, henna tattoos, kids can write their name in Arabic, a Roman army showed their skills, etc. which is really nice.
I feel that they could make the park even more attractive with some extra features but I know that the budget is tight. The area provides a nice walk in the woods (be prepared for the walk) and offers nice scenery.

Is it a museum, is it a theme park, who knows?
Jul 2014 • Couples
An unusual attraction, not really sure what it thinks it is, wants to be, intends to be. Reconstructions of ancient Jordan area villages and buildings give an idea of how things may have looked in Jesus time, a few costumed staff dotted around give information on daily life at the time and the more recently added/adapted Arab/Muslim sections appear to seek to show how similar the various groups in the Middle East really are.

Reading about the park since visiting I can see it has had a troubled past in recent years but hopefully this is now behind them and hopefully they can build on their current offering. It was a beautiful day when we visited so just strolling around was lovely, which I suspect accounts for one of the points in my score.

Biblical
This museum shows mostly buildings and villages from the biblical times. It gives a good overview of what the world looked like when Jesus was with us. Great for kids, lots to do.
