A wonderful site with an amazing view. Definitely worth going to when on the island. You can look out over the the entire island.

Got inside and view was very good from the top. Rode our Ebikes right up to the top. Most bikes stopped at the bottom to park.

I recommend stopping here while bicycling around the island, because the views are amazing. Unfortunately, all the signs are in Dutch only so we couldn't learn much about the history of the place, but it was worth seeing it for the views from the top...More

Small but interesting explanation about the occupation of the island, the building and functioning of the bunkers during WWII which were used as observatories for air raids. There is quite some reading to do which is unfortunately almost only in Dutch. Limited opening hours

A bit of a climb to get there but worth it. Wonderful 360 degree view from the top - makes you realise how far you actually are form the sea. You can still explore inside the bunker. Interesting to see the construction - some steel...More

Nature is what brings you, but the island has undeniably its history with the war when there were around 600 Germans placed there. This bunker was part of the Atlantic defence wall. Interesting for children to see and to learn how crazy actually all this...More

On top of the dunes is the bunker. Possible to go inside, but it's wet and dark, better bring a torch. But actually not much to see inside. From the top you have a great view in all directions, just amazing.

This Bunker is on Top of a dune, a small hill which you can walk up easily or with a bicycle a little bit tough. The view from Top is great, I guess its one of the highest points on the island, so the views...More

This old German Bunker allows you to have some great far sights over Schiermonnikoog. On sunny and clear days you will be able to see the mainland of both Groningen and Friesland.
