For me, the boomkroompad was a steal construction where you climb up, have a view, walk a bit and go back down. You have an okay view over the trees, but that is it. THere is nothing special or spectacular about it, just a steal construction up high.

Ok for a short visit

The tree top walk was disappointing as when you got to the highest point you couldn't see over the trees so there was nothing to see. The actual surrounding was great and varied walks to do with a few swings and slides for afterwards to keep he kids happy .

Trees!

For us city-dwellers, a vacation with/in nature is all the more special when you get to experience it from a different angle. It's very nice to see treetops from close-by, watch birds from above and notice just how far trees move in the wind. (It wasn't even storming yet!)
We saw multiple types of birds, bees, other insects, spiders... :D
It was May when we visited, we're considering a late-autumn visit to see what it's like then.

Walk through trees

The path is probably aimed at kinds, telling them what animals live in the trees, but even as an adult you will enjoy the gradually changing perspective of the forest

Nice, but not very spectacular

The "Boomkroonpad" leads you through the top of the trees on a 125 meter long path. Although it's a very beautiful area, there is not a lot of excitement when you walk on the path. During the day the animals are silent, so we didn't see a lot of animals. But when you take the steps to the viewing platform you can take beautiful pictures. If you want to enjoy the surroundings a bit more, follow one of the hiking trails. They will lead you through the forrest along moors, fens etc.

Excellent place for a walk in the woods

Visited with my two older teenage kids. Tree top walk is fun, but quite short. You can climb to 22 metres high to get a good view. From there you can embark on a number of walks, with the shortest being a 3K circuit. There is no English signage but you can pretty much get the meanings anyway. Nice cafe on site, with a good choice of drinks and snacks. On site parking and the site is easy to find.

Happened to see the sign for this attraction, and in spite of the rainy weather, ventured in. And glad we did. You start in a tunnel where you can find what lives and happens under ground, then, through a "trunk" you climb up and up, via walkways and stairs further up, until you are level with the tree tops and have a completely different view of the area; really very nice. We would have loved to do one of the walks as well, but the rain came down quite heavily by then; hopefully there will be a next occasion.

Ever wanted to know what it looks like looking down on trees instead of up at them? This is your chance. It is definatly worth the trip, especially if you are going to spend some time walking in the area. For just a few Euros you can spend an hour wandering in the treetops. Its not for those who are afraid of hights. You need to tackel many stairs, so its not for the less able visitor.
Nice little snack bar.

Hidden treasure
We visited this back in August whilst on holiday in northern holland. It is part of a stunning forest with several clearly signed trails. So you can choose a walk suited to your needs. Extremely family friendly. With an amazing walk through the treetops which is not to be missed. Reasonably priced. Good clean cafe. My daughter and I took a horse and cart trip through the forest and it was very hansel and gretal. The only thing you need to be aware as that hardly anyone speaks English. I actually found the horse and cart trip not understanding a word that was being spoken highly entertaining and for me it added an extra something to the experience although I know not everyone would see it like that. A must see.
