The castle itself has a good story board explaining its history . Worth a visit for the views alone just a short walk out side of Playa Blanca

Castle is located on the cliff above Marina Rubicon which is up the road from Playa Blanca. The castle is very rarely open but there is a reasonable story board to read. Great location for photos

Worth taking the trouble to visit especially if your just at the Rubicon Marina market. Just a short walk either by ramp or steps alongside the southern side of the Volcan hotel gets you there. Admitely there is not much to the Castillo de las...More

A remarkable bit of history on the southern part of the island. But it’s not much to look at and was not even open when we went. We did go to the cliff beyond and have a beautiful swim though. Don’t go just for this.

Very quiet, fell on it whilst on a cycle ride. Great view and beautiful clear sea surrounding. Kids climbed around on the rocks

This is worth walking up from the marina rubicon Marina , just follow up the steps the views are worth it . The actual monument doesn't really tell a lot ,just a small outpost nothing to go inside or walk around .

Interesting visit as en route into Playa Blanca anyway. Doubt if I'd go out my way to visit it though. Some history boards in English, but main gate locked, so can only peer inside to a room with nothing in it !!

Not at all difficult to get to if you're near the marina any way. Really great views and a tiny bit of history to add to it.
