The place is stunning. The modern architecture hidden in the side of a hill takes up the space of a small village. Our guide was lovely - informative and knowledgeable - making it interesting for a non connoisseur like me. Although the wine tasting was good, it was a little disappointing not to try their most famous wine, the Tignanello...a... More

The modern architecture is breath taking. The tour & tasting was excellent. The guide was very knowledgeable. We ate lunch on the property which was treat and very good. Nor sure why so many griped about the wine. It was excellent in our opinion.

Beautiful, modern piece of architecture. Sadly, it is now totally tourist driven and no longer about the wine. This family has been making wine for over 700 years and the highlight now is the building.

Even if you are not into wine, you need to visit this place just to see it. You get the feeling of being in a James Bond movie where he gets to visit the vilain's HQ. The winery is hidden in the hill side and you wouldn't know that it was there until you drive there and see how big... More

We had a group of 6 that attended for a wine tasting. All 6 are keen and experienced wine enthusiasts. We were quite honestly shocked and upset about how rude the employees were for starters. Then the wine was not that flash and the tastings were ridiculously overpriced. 6 euro for a tiny (10ml) tasting of a very average wine.... More

So many reviews here mention the architecture rather than the wine. Your free to roam around much of this stunning space without being on a wine tour. Visit the museum , the shop, climb the staircase and even wander into the vines and the garden. Marvel at the architecture and the opulence. All this can be done without being on... More

Just outside of Florence, beautiful 450,000 sq ft winery, museum, auditorium, restaurant. The tour guide was from IOWA and was extremely knowledgeable answering all questions, wine tasting was more than a ½ glass of wine - 4 tasting, film in auditorium was a great start and knowledge of family history. store was very busy they need more help. the restaurant... We just did a wine tasting, not the tour. Fortunately, we just ordered 2 glasses to start our tasting. A chianti for 4 euros ( that sells for 33) and a premium wine for 10 euros. We have never had such a small tasting-I would guess 10ml. We didn't try any more wine as the cost was such a rip off.... More

This winery is so popular among visitors, I will say more for its architecture and modern design than for the wines. Environmental friendly construction, a beautiful piece of design. Go there with other expectations but the wine, even thou, the Chianti classico is pretty good. The tour is not a big deal. Just general information, nothing outstanding. However, if you... More

The grounds and architecture were modern spectaculars, but we found the wines overpriced and overrated. The food at the restaurant, although pricey (the 2nd most expensive during our trip, and we ate at some nice restaurants), was delicious. One of two wineries (we visited 6) where we left without buying any wine.
