This former salt producing area has been converted into a nature reserve with some nice beaches. Parking is 2 Euro for the day. There are no changing facilities as far as we have seen. On site are also the remains of a tuna factory, which...More

We took the way from Vendicari beach, through the Tonnara, to the Calamosche beach. Nice walking tour in the middle of a great landscape and nice swim at the end. Great place for people who enjoy the nature across the sea.

We found a nice cove with access to the water from rocks. It was a nice place to snorkel and take in the sun away from the crowds.

We only visited the beach of Vendicari in the reserve. The beach is really nice with the old tonnara on the left hand side. It was not crowded so it felt almost like it was out own private beach. Unfortunately the car park is free...More

There are several entrances to the oasis depending on what you're after. Make sure not to miss the old Tonnara. A haven for nature lovers, a rare opportunity in the South. Make sure to take plenty of water as there is nowhere to buy drinks...More

I want to write this review mainly because I want to fill in the information gap on how to reach the different beaches, and the time that one should expect to spend in the hiking. This seems to be especially tricky for tourists without a...More

Amazing clean beach in the middle of the nature, no houses, kids were so happy, nice walk to get there, we even found an Italian ice-cream van at the entrance of the park to get an afternoon snack before getting to the beach!
