If it's beach time you're after, this seemed an average spot for us. The scenery is of course gorgeous and water is refreshing, however the primary beach from the parking is full of olive tree leaves that will stick to wet legs horribly. If you...More

Even though it's hot in July, it's still worth a visit if one is eager to watch flamingoes. There's a flock of about forty flamingoes. There are hundreds of them over here every winter. I was surprised to see this flock still here in July.

Visited the reserve and given it as June was not surprised that thee were no pasage migrants or rarities but was peeved that much of the reserve was fenced off- can't see how the paths went near turtle egg laying areas. Very few species and...More

The reserve is used by a lot of families and it felt very safe for walking. Signs could be more clearer. Spotted some excellent bird life.

The paths through the marshes have been carefully constructed from stone, the bird hides have been positioned for perfect views of flamingos and other wild birds and the remains of the tuna processing factory and worker's cottages have been well preserved and a museum created....More

From our hotel (Eloro), we walked along the coast to the Riserva Naturale di Vendicari. It wasn't an easy walk, as the paths are sand and rock, going up and down. Not always easy at my age, and a couple of times, I nearly fell....More

Great for a long Sunday walk along a wild coastal strip! Note that there are no Rest rooms, but a few simple garden restaurants just outside the Park entrance
