Great stretch of beach
May 2018
Unfortunately very windy. Too windy to have a decent conversation. Anyway fun for the kids and beautiful sights. We walked all the way through a pine tree forest which was relaxing and beautiful.

Perfect see, beach so so
Jul 2017 • Couples
We spend almost 2 h searching for right sand beach between S.Cataldo and Alimini lakes. At some places they asked 5-10eur just to enter by car to see wether it us good for us🤔. The other were to crowded or need to much walk from oarking to see, so we ended up here. There is a parking area just in front of the beach ( 0.80eur/h) wich us idealy positipned at the csnal from the lakes to see. Sunumbrella and 2 bads 15eur, food corner (panino 4eur, water 1,5eur), place for children to play. Normal shower, no extra charge, plase to change. Send is a bit black, which I did nit like, hot like hell but the wster is just perfect. Clear, ckean, heavenly blue, nice to swim.

Beaches in the summer, jogging favorite in the winter
Dec 2016 • Solo
People pack the beaches in summer time but my favorite time is the winter where one can appreciate the beauty of the sea, the sand , the pine trees without crowds. Jogging there is fantastic.

Abandoned
Aug 2016 • Friends
Park is not taken care at all. No picnic areas or services.
Kayaking is to be avoided. Lake is fine but you pay very much for a trip that is kind of 20 min. No flora and fauna promised from kayak renters are present, probably for too many people.
Not other decent accesses to the lakes other than the canoeing one. Not recommended!
Seaside nearby is fine, however.

Favorite beaches
Jun 2015
There are many entrances to approach this area of sandy beaches with a gentle surf and clear waters. A protected area with many beaches to walk and areas to swim. You can find privacy or mix with the crowds in this vast area.

A glorious beach and Bagno Lucia is tops!!
Sep 2015 • Couples
The September beach is always the best. The crowds have left but the sun and sea remain. Our first visit was always going to be a hit and miss affair: who has the best deal, services and of course food. We struck lucky at Bagno Lucia 1954 which located at the point where the lakes join the sea. It's a family business and Francesca is the third generation sustaining their tradition in proper Puglian style, which means maximum hospitality, great food and charming service. The daily specials were very tempting and I can't wait to see today's, tomorrow's etc. You get the picture!!!

White sands azure sea

Sandy beaches very family friendly. Beach clubs to meet every taste. Universe is mostly disco and exclusive. Bank Lucia is more family oriented with excellent seafood restaurant and easy access into the water.

Easy to reach
Aug 2012 • Family
The area of the Lakes Alimini is very beautiful, from Otranto to reach it but it will take a bit 'of time in the car. It 'easy to reach; if you have children with you, elderly or disabled is easier to reach than other beaches. You can find both free areas and areas equipped with sun loungers and parasols for a fee. It may happen that the water is less clean than in other areas, because there is the mouth of a river or a channel (cannot remember) and there is less current than in other sea areas.
