    A must see on Achill
Stunning 360 degree seaviews and a treat for the feet walking on heather clad bog. Plenty of seats and benches to rest on the 6.5 km moderate walk. Not a dull moment and feast for the eyes. By the end of the walk, we were rejuvenated and felt very peaceful having enjoyed the wild silence of the magnificent coastal setting

Loop trail, stunning views - take time to smell the flowers.
Walked this trail with a group on June Bank Holiday weekend. Stunning scenery on a well marked and easy to follow trail. Well worth the effort - bring a picnic and take your time. Start and finish for this trail is behind pub - a fitting end to a gorgeous day.

A joyous walk for all levels of walkers.
This is my idea of a perfect walk/climb. Scenery unreal, gentle bog land underfoot, and definitely the best signposted walk I’ve been on. I only wish I lived closer to it as I would walk it every week.

Super walk for someone with sturdy boots. About 2 hours - but glorious views. Not too high or difficult. Any reasonable walker should be fine. Start ane finished at Pattens pub

Nice hike. Great views. Good climb on the first half. Tricky under foot on the last 1/3. Well marked trail.

Super route, not too difficult, took us a little over 2 hours, occasional rough terrain, well sign posted, easy to follow, picnic tables in a couple of places along the way, great views and worth the effort of getting there

A small group of us walk this in July, it is suitable for all ages but you would need to be a regular walker and active. It's around 3 hours, with picnic tables dotted around in strategic places where you can sit for a while and just take in the breath taking views. We all wore runners but it was dry all the way around for us. Boots would be recommended if you own a pair. That was our second time and then a lovely pint in Pattens when you finish. Great morning or afternoon activity to do.

Make sure you bring correct walking boots - runners are not an option! difficult in parts not for the inexperienced - but very worthwhile and a nice way to spend an afternoon. WELL SIGNED - follow the ARROWS

The most beautiful views of Achill Island. Not too strenuous either and great place for a picnic! Bring hiking boots if it’s been wet as it’s marshy in parts but wasn’t an issue for us today😊

Incredible views on this fabulous walk. Highly recommended. Bring a picnic for the stunning perspective of Clare Island which can be enjoyed on a strategically placed bench. Fantastic. And you can reward yourself with some refreshment at Patten's bar on completion - a really friendly spot.
