This was a very interesting museum that took us about an hour to go through. If you're already in the Black Forest area, this is worth a visit. Of course there are cuckoo clocks on display, but there are so many more types of clocks...More

An interesting place "if" you are already near it. It takes less than an hour to go through it. I was expecting a museum focused on the famous Coo Coo clocks of Germany, and although they have those clocks it is really more of a...More

This is a fascinating look at civilization's fascination with time over millennia. Emphasis, rightly so, is on Black Forest clockmakers. Don't miss the music "boxes" on the bottom floor.

Great museum, hundreds and hundreds of clocks, set out in order, going from beginning of time recording. Very surprised to see model of Stonehenge! The Guidebook given to use on visit in English was very comprehensive and useful.

Second trip, based on kids request. It is time consuming stop, because you want to learn and discover. Use slow pace, try to find answers to the puzzle. Kids can be on their own, great.

I'm generally not a huge fan of museums, but this one dedicated to timepieces of all time was quite impressive. Starting with some replicas and models, perhaps even genuine artifacts of some of the world's oldest known timepieces to modern clocks, this museum showed a...More

I was enthralled at the huge and diverse collection of timepieces in such a relatively small space (although there are 3 floors!) The history includes watches, cuckoo clocks, atomic clocks and everything in between. There is even a wonderful collection of working musical organs with...More
