Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A really nice museum that used to be the home of the famous artist Pekka Halonen. The building itself and its surroundings are very nice and the art exhibited is also beautiful.

The house by Lake Tuusala is not only interesting for its architecture and setting, but it also contains a range of Finnish paintings that re fascinating to view. It is well worth the journey north from Helsinki.

So it seems that a large amount of writers and poets found their inspiring grounds around Tuusula lake. It is good to enter and see the house and wonder the beautiful views that inspire the painter. There was an exposition of great Finnish painters.
Strange it is not possible to take photos without flashes

What a wonderful location for the Halonen family to have lived there! It was also very interesting to hear the stories about the past, history of the rooms. Also the exhibition (female artists) was interesting. It's a pity taking photos is not allowed inside. Definitely worth a visit!

We went on a bike tour and stopped along. This was really nice: on the one hand because of the exhibition which was nicely made but also to visit this ancient wood house with the Artelier windows and the spot on the peninsula. I liked it even better than Ainola.

You literally enter 100 years back in time here. You can sense the atmosphere when famous culture persons were having gatherings in the living room.

This I really liked. What a place, what a house, what a location. I really liked how the home of the painter now is used a art gallery. It was also very interesting to hear the guide talk about the house’ history and the family life they led there.

Halosenniemi is a handsome log building by the Lake Tuusulanjärvi. It was the atelje and home of a great Finnish painter Pekka Halonen. It also was a meetingplace to other artists by the lake.
