Nice & pleasant walk. Though with quite a few steps here and there it is not suitable for those who have mobility problems. Nice break from the little onsen village of Yamanaka. Good viewpoint at the second bridge.

This is a nice walk at Yamanaka Onsen, not far from the main street, Especially during autumn leave season

A must visit as the scenery is stunning. Plan to spend at least 2 hours in this location. Best if you can stay around the area as the timing of the tourist bus may not be as convenient.

You must go here. It is a short walk in a circle but you are feeling as if nature made the place. Interesting shops in the area too

Best not to come when raining, it might be quite slippery! The views are lovely though and the trail is relatively easy to follow (no guard rails though so watch your toddlers!), it's quite manageable even if you only do half of it (from one...More

Easy access from Yamanaka-onsen, calm and fresh air! Beautiful bridges and cafe on the river is a great place in summer. 山中温泉ってこんなに素敵なところがあったんですね。渓流沿いに約1時間の散策はとてもさわやかです。

We took a bus from Kagaonsen. It was so lovely strolling the gorge, admiring the handiwork of temples and bridges. We were the only westerners, in fact there were very few people which was lovely. There are so many beautiful trees and plants, so many...More

This was a great way to spend some peaceful time in the Kanga area. Nice place to escape the crowds. The moss and trees are really beautiful.
