Gokarna Beach is clean Beach with great stretch. Being a temple town one could only find pure veg eateries out here. Lots of Beach side shops that has all kinds of things. It's just 10 minutes walk away from the city bus stand.

Make it a point to visit the small town temple town of Gokarna every year during Shivaratri. It's buzzing with tourists during the festival time but otherwise is a peaceful little town with some great beaches and a few local bars.

Lovely mood in Gokarna village, enjoy the spirituality amongst the priests and pilgrims. Stroll in the streets are worth, organic products can be found in many shops.

Littered with lots of trash including a inlet for what seemed like sewage. Go for the temple, the beach in itself is forgettable

Paradise Beach is best but there are some spots between Om and Paradise that are also nice ~ use caution of the cliffs when camping or hiking there :)

Hi Shibin, Paradise beach is best for camping in gokarna. it is little bit far from crowded om beach and you have to trek or take boat to reach there. Another option is kumta beach which is almost 30km far from gokarna.

The best option is fly to Goa from Mumbai and drive to Gokarna. But if you want to drive all the way from Mumbai, you need at least one night halt in the way. You can drive to Goa along the coastal road which is scenic most... More
