The temple is near to Gokarna beach. It is very famous and unique for Atma linga. This shiv temple very well maintained and it has offer free lunch for devotees. Must visit place if you are a religious person.

Shiva is worshipped as Mahabaleswar here. The temple contains the aatmalinga of Lord Shiva. The temple had long queue when we reached there at 11am. We waited for 2 long hours for our darshan turn. Maintenance of temple is poor. Needs improvement.

This is a must visit for all who are in the area, we had the pooja with one of the many Brahmins and as photos are permitted could not take any. As with many temples in use regrettabley the inside accessible for Hindus only.

Went with Family. THis is the only place where you are allowed to enter "Garbhagudi" and allowed to touch "Athmalinga" of Shiva. There are priests who will tell so many things and try to cheat you. Dont listen to them for any of Poojas. Just...More

Temple is closed after the morning pooja around 1230PM and reopens at 1630 hrs and is then open till 1900
