Great picturesque spot to stop and take photos, feel people weren't there to visit inside of church so miss out on donations I suspect. Bit odd that they were selling lupin seeds as fundraiser, thought lupins were choking waterways and discouraged from spreading!?

Free to visit, but there is a donation box. Lovely little church and worth the short walk from the town to the Lake to visit it. The view from the window behind the altar, overlooking the lake is breathtaking.

Arrived here in the afternoon and the wind was strong and it was freezing cold. The entire area was beautiful, the sky, the lake and the shore. Being Catholic, I stepped into the church. It was warm, peaceful and serene. A sense of calm washed...More

The church was a nice attraction to visit in the morning, and the surrounding lake front is great for photographs in the morning. However, I would have liked to see some more plaques describing the history of the church and the significance to the people...More

We went here in march after seeing so many spectacular views of this church and wanted to see it for ourselves! However when we went at 2am it was packed with amateur photographers intent on shouting and bumping into you! It ruined the ambiance but...More

Cute little church in a great location right on the lake. Worth a walk over the footbridge to have a look at.

Spent several hours in the cold winter night viewing the stars - this has to be done in a lifetime - simply amazing - and photography with the church just adds that special touch!

We attended the Sunday 4pm worship service, it was lovely. Good sermon and spiritual atmosphere. Nice people, would love to come again !

This is one of the best small churches I have seen to date. The view of the lake Tekapo through the back window of the church was breathtaking. However the photographs aren't allowed inside the church.

Great place to be during the day and also for star gazing in the evening. Lots of people and the sky is beautifully lit with stars

have been twice both times in early Feb just after the kids have gone back to school. The sites aren't as full and the weather is still very warm and sunny.

Sorry I don't know. It is a working church and so there should be a website or the New Zealand tourist board should be able to assist.
