This was one of the highlights of our trip, we went on our very first day in PR and talked about it for the rest of the trip. We loved Wesley, the kid who helped us into our kayaks and told us how to follow the map, he was very knowledgeable and helpful. We loved him even more when he... More

It was a nice walk even though it was a cloudy day. There are many beautiful birds around. We did take a stroll on the beach and most of it was clean, there is one part at the end that needs some attention. Everyone nice at the entrance. For free it's a great way to spend an afternoon.

We spent an hour walking around the reserve. The palm trees were gorgeous and the steep climb to the look-out tower rewarded us with a nice view of Money Island. Next time would consider renting the bikes.

We came here for an afternoon hike on a sunny day. We originally planned to kayak as well but the water was a tad stagnant and a bit uninviting. This is a classic PR treat - on the rough side but with some local charm. Once you're in the jungle it's a delightful palm tree stroll, especially if you like... More

Thanks for the visit and review! The water at the nature reserve goes on through different phases due to the environment surrounding the lagoons. Mangroves are the most of vegetation that covers our area, but the activities are always giving to the visitors like fishing and kayaking. Flora and fauna is very diversified at the nature reserve but makes the... More

We spent about 2 hours at the reserve. It has 3 areas including a lagoon with floating docks, a swamp trail and a coconut grove trail along the ocean. We saw herons, iguanas, several types of water fowl and many termite nests. The coconut trees were the tallest we had ever seen. It was free but seems to have kyacks... More

The Nature preserve is on the grounds of Palmas del Mar. There were lots of birds, but hard to spot them due to the lush foliage. It was ok, but not terribly exciting

A bit confused due to the mention of the location. The Humacao Nature Reserve is on road #3 km 75.7 east through the Punta Santiago public beach area. It is not on the grounds of Palmas del Mar, but yes the Pterocarpus Forest is. More

We spent an hour walking through the reserve and the beach. There is an old military bunker at the top of the lookout, which had great views. Very easy to understand walking directions!

The natural reserve was beautiful and the hike was fun. The paths going to the reserves were muddy but easy to walk through. There were no surprises. It is a beautiful tropical forest.
