Mathieu was a great guide for my wife and me for a morning trip on a snorkeling tour from Le Gosier to Jacques Cousteau reserve. About 45 minute drive across the island through a tropical forest.
Excellent communication via email and text. Was punctual. Friendly. Knowledgeable. He truly enjoyed his work. He spoke 5 star English.
The boat ride is about 10 minutes to the snorkel site where we snorkeled for about 90 minutes. Very pretty with all sorts of colorful fish. Mathieu drove us back to Le Gosier and our perfect tour was complete. Zero complaints.

It’s a bit of a challenge for English speakers to make good connections in Guadeloupe for scuba. Not that it’s too hard once you’re there, but setting things up in advance can be challenging, and this beautiful island is overwhelmingly French-speaking. So here’s an all-around great solution for divers of any skill level. Mathieu is a very professional instructor and guide, has just the right attitude and clearly loves what he’s doing. Great communicator, responsive via both email and text (w/i next day every time). My son and I did our PADI open water checkout dives with him in December 2018 after the classroom and pool work up north in the cold. Great success in the Cousteau Reserve. Mathieu is aligned with another operator, but he’s your divemaster, making sure everything goes perfectly with no issues on gear, process on the boat or getting to the right place on time. Very good English skills, enjoyable to work with, does diving right. As I am a woefully limited English-only speaker, Mathieu solved all our challenges with great results.

I had a the privileged of diving with Mathieu and experiencing the dives spots around the Jacques Cousteau's Underwater Reserve. Very professional and knowledgeable diver. Great price, and service. I lived in Sainte Anne so the pick up option was a great plus for me! Merci Beacoup Mathieu, it was tres manifique!
