Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We spent one day on the island of Guadeloupe during our Caribbean cruise and did a snorkeling trip with Seatour. It was the best snorkeling tour we had during the whole cruise. The reef was really nice with crystal clear water, corals and a lot of small and bigger fishes. We also saw a stingray. The crew was very nice and made us feel save at any time. They were also our snorkeling guides and showed us the best places at the reef. After snorkeling they brought us to a very small island in the middle of nowhere where we had a short stop for swimming and sun-bathing. We had a great day and took many many photos and videos to show at home. :-)

Tom and Raphael were excellent guides on our 1/2 day snorkeling trip. They provided useful instructions on how to use the snorkeling equipment for the people with no experience. They divided us into to two groups so the stronger swimmers and more experienced snorkelers could have a different experience than the newbies.

While snorkeling I saw a Moray eel, a small grouper, different types of coral and multiple types of colourful fish I couldn't name.

We stopped at Ilet Caret and cruised through the mangroves.

Great day! Wear lots of sunscreen and a hat.

We took the snorkelling option, captained by Raphael, ( they have other "themed" tours , like sunset or sailboats) and it was absolutely brilliant. We got to discover the mangrove, dive onto the coral reef and snorkel ( although it always feel like you could spend the day looking at fishes :)) then visit the slowly disappearing Îlet Caret, with a quick stop around Ilet Christophe.
We got to see barracudas, rays , trunkfish and plenty plenty of very colourful fishes.
Absolutely advise, even with our 5yo who got also to see fishes, they speak English and French.

The snorkeling part wasn't amazing, the rest of the tour is really nice, and the guide is quite good, specially with the natural life explanations. I would really recommend this tour.

Guide spoke excellent English and did a great job explaining the town, scenery, and nature on the boat ride out to Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin. However, the snorkeling was relatively brief and only in one section of the reef. Difficult currents and waves made it challenging for weak swimmers although fine for strong swimmers. While snorkeling, there is no guidance at all about the type of fish you're seeing, and you're all just blindly trying to follow the guide...difficult underwater when you can't put your head up without possibly damaging the reef with your fins! Very frustrating. A second stop at a tiny sand island was picturesque but felt mostly like a party island to have a drink of rum...no good snorkeling there. If you can only snorkel once in Guadeloupe, I STRONGLY recommend doing the Jacques Cousteau Reserve off the west coast of Basse-Terre instead. It is worth the drive!! MUCH more fish and coral and, at least when we went, much calmer water.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Tom and Raphael. We weren’t sure we wanted to devote a half a day snorkeling, but in the end we could have spent more time watching fish swim along the reef. Both guides were patient with first time snorkelers and made the outing relaxing and enjoyable.

This is a wonderful tour to take! Great snorkling in a beautiful nature reserve, with plenty of sea life to see and observe.
We went out with our family of 10 for four hours and had an awesome day with really nice and educated tour guides (Raphael & Tom). They told us about the beautiful island of Guadeloupe and especially about the mangrove trees.
I recommend anyone to do this tour while you are here!

We, a group of ten took the boat hosted by Rafael and Tom out snorkeling today. Tom and Raphael did a great job entertaining and at the same time informing us on the history of the surroundings and the marin biology of the area. The mangrove, the birds and the fishes they also gave us great tips on other activities and were above all nice guys who seams to enjoy there job. The four hours on the boat went fast and we were all happy with the trip. The reef we went to were kind a dull but the fishes compensated for that. We saw barracudas and a stingray real close. We really recommend the tour.
