About

We visited as part of a shore excursion while on a cruise. While not massive, the collection of exhibits and sea creatures on display is varied and well-documented. One thing to note is that demonstrations seem to be conducted in French (our tour guide translated for us). The info panels display in both English and French, you just have to wait for it to switch languages.

Reduce the entrance fee or provide much more to look at. What is on display is relatively well done. The lighting needs to be better around some of the descriptive panels. The cashier was curt and inadequate at explaining how to use the audio translation. On entering and throughout the visit, I was bitten by mosquitoes. Considering the lack of exhibits the space consecrated to the gift shop is absurdly large.

It was my first time at an aquarium and I enjoyed our time there. My daughter also enjoyed it. The variety was good and displays were excellent.

Went to visit it this afternoon although some people said it’s a wIst of money. They were totally wrong! Yes it is small but the tanks are very clean with nice fishes and the video presentations are really interesting. They are all in French and I wish they had seating space to watch them! I hope the aquarium put them also in English since the number of US tourists is.increasing. I really enjoyed the visit.

I went with my 9 year- old child. It was a great experience for both of us.The guide was very nice and professional and also careful to passengers safety, children in particular. He provided everything we might needed from masks to water, and everything was included in the price. He also took pictures of us and placed them on the Aquarium web site. We left our hotel at 8 in the morning and came back at 2 pm. Snorkeling was about 2 hours. A trip that should not be missed!

I was there in my first visit in Guadeloupe with my sister and nephews. The aquarium is really small. Don't worth paying the price.... there is not so many fishes and other marine stuff. You can do it in less than 30 min...

Sorry that you do not like the Guadeloupe Aquarium. All movies and educational signs are in French, it may be why you spent so little time to discover the extraordinary marine life the Caribbean. 30 minutes is good, but a 11 years old kid set the current record in less than 5 minutes! We hope to see you soon and do not forget to request the assistance of a english speaking guide anglphone.

My brother and I had some time to kill so we decided to give the aquarium a try. It was 14 euro (16USD) and although we enjoyed ourself it was very small. We lingered as long as we could including watching the nurse shark presentation and we only lasted about an hour. The fish are always nice to look at but there's not much in there that you won't see if you go snorkeling except maybe the nurse sharks if you don't get the chance to go to Petit Terre

It may be small but this is not the issue.Actually we were waiting the moment to meet the sharks, and when we saw 5 sharks in a so small area to swim we were totally disapointed. And somebody who doesn't speak the french language won't understand a thing about the discription of the animals. At the end caribbean sea has a lot more to offer, they could have bigger variety of fishes.

Really nice aquarium with clean tanks and soothing background music.
We brought a 2 year old child with us and she was able to see all the fish and sea life because the aquariums covered the whole walls from floor to roof.
Recommended for families with children.
