This romantic Gothic house is the lived in family home of the famous Gillow furniture making dynasty. Boasting unique, priceless pieces of Gillow furniture, Leighton's informal guided tours appeal to all ages.

Outside the Hall are woodland walks, an abundant 19th century walled garden, herbaceous borders and roses, a fragrant herb patch and an ornamental vegetable plot.

Every day at 3.30 pm (weather permitting), Falconer Jim Brown, gives flying displays with his birds of prey, where visitors get the chance to put on a glove and really get up close to these fantastic creatures.

For 2015 we have installed a new petite children's play area. Our products have been sourced locally as we worked with a local playground company to maximize the space we had available. So we hope the children will enjoy these facilities.

The ancestral home of the world-renowned Gillow furniture family; the hall is open Tuesday to Friday afternoons and the 2017 rate is £8.50. Situated about 5 miles north of Carnforth, there's plenty of free parking and the property is generally well signposted. The house is only accessed by an escorted tour. but this lasts over a hour and is very... More

this place is a hidden gem, still lots of original features and open fireplaces, homely but still well worth a visit.

I attended my friends wedding this weekend at this venue. We thought the building was beautiful and it was a perfect setting for a country wedding. The owners were very nice, the staff were brilliant. We had a great time and I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone!

Visited Leighton Hall on a whim as we were passing. Beautiful house and gardens. Pam the tour guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting. The Falconer who presented the birds of prey segments was hilarious and very passionate about the birds. Made the whole day. Excellent price for a fantastic day out.

Another great find thanks to the Gardeners World 2 for 1 Card ! Arrived just before the falconry display started. Great display from the birds and the handler. Gardens were lovely and liked the maze and play area.

We really enjoyed the gardens and woodland walks. Very peaceful and some beautiful plants and trees. Less happy with the birds of prey demo - the man giving the demo was too keen to make jokes and didn't say enough about the birds. It was too nice a day to go into the Hall.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. It is also so nice to know you are making your customers experience a great one. The Festival Players have a huge role to play in making the Shakespeare in the Garden so successful, they are brilliant. Please do come and see us next year. Many thanks again. More

Had an excellent guided tour followed by a bird of prey show on the front lawn. The house and grounds are stunning, the gardens are immaculately kept and the views from the rooms we went in were beautiful. The chap who does the bird show is a real character and excellent at what he does, we really enjoyed the whole... More

Visited as members of the HHA, it was a rainy day but we were entertained by the falconry display whilst waiting for the tour. We were a small group and the tour guide was really informative . Plenty of interesting features. pity it was so wet that we could not enjoy what looked from a distance a wonderful garden,,
