Lots to look at.

Highlight was Donatello's pulpit - currently undergoing restoration but you can pay €1 to walk around the scaffolding and get close to the pulpit. Worth the extra money to do this. The simple stone slab that marks the grave of Cosimo il Vecchio is such a contrast to the Medici Mausoleum in the Cappelletti Medicee.

Well worth a visit

A lovely place to visit, very peaceful inside just to sit and think about things. Nice walk to get there and more intersting places to visit in the area.

Unique Old Church in Poggibonsi
Nov 2015 • Couples
Built in the 14th century the church has a plain travertine outside. The interior is very clean and simple without extensive decorations. We actually later attended mass here on Sunday. It was a nice service and well attended. The church is on a Piazza in downtown Poggibonsi and only a block away from the other church - College of Saint Maria of the Assumption. They have masses in each church on Sunday mornings.

If you're in Poggibonsi...
Jun 2015 • Couples
If you're in town (we dropped of my daughter who was travelling back to Pisa to catch an airplane) then why not stop into this church. Its not much compared to some of the others in Tuscany but for a not so well know town, this one has interesting art work to be seen.

The town of Poggibonsi itself we did not much care for, but if you happen to be there - perhaps waiting for people to arrive by train - this church is close to the train station (stazione!).
