These Etruscan ruins are really cool, and fun to explore. It’s a great hike from the bottom of the city. But not for the faint of heart.

Wonderful place to visit, wish we had allowed more time to explore this amazing location. Step back in time and walk these amazing trails first established in medieval times.

Lovely experience walking the ancient Etruscan Vie Cave of San Rocco on a sunny October morning. The trailhead we found is on the way to Sorano and leads you to San Rocco church, the necropolis, and the river below. Small parking area for 4-5 cars....More

My husband and I wanted to visit the cave and couldn't find it. We went to the information center in Pitigliano and the woman there didn't really help us. We left disappointed

This ancient road makes quite a lovely walk. Plenty of interesting history, and nice and shady to boot.

This was my favorite thing we did on our 15 day vacation in Tuscany. Very cool and amazing. I did not want to leave because around every corner was awesome.

fantastic scenery in the Tuscan hills with vineyards, small hilltop towns etc nearby. Incredibly deep roads carved into the tufo creating a series of 'alleys' sunken in the rock that slope down the hill. A great way to spend a few hours though if you...More

We walked on of the Caves into Pitigliano. Although it took a while, it was more of a walk than a hike. We walked on trails cut deep into the rock, saw caves carved into the rock, and walked through beautiful woods. If you're in...More

Try to find, what purpose did these artificial canyons serve and whom... Great place to think over which events had it witnessed, feeling yourself as the grain of sand

We enjoyed taking photos of the town and surrounding area. Had a great dinner at IL Grillo and also at Trattoria La Chiabe del Paradiso. This is at the end of the butchers' street.
