We had just lunched next door and ventured into the building and as with most Italian Duomos' there is much ornate work and this is no exception with the altar adorned with huge marble columns. Worth taking a few mins out to explore.

This is very easy to find and access. Beautiful inside and out with lovely side chapels and amazing marble floor and an air of total cool serenity. We liked that some of the offerings were electric candles and others are wax. A timeless place.

The church is just one of the special things about this city. The views, the streets, the restaurants, the hand made leather crafters... All just like a scene from Hollywood movies, only real!

The old town is perched high on a cliff top accessed through a gate.....wonderful exploring all the medieval walkways, well worth a 2/3 hour visit including lunch in one of the squares.
