A bit out of the city but worth the drive (5 minutes). It's a really old church with a interesting atmosphere. Don't miss the catacomb.

Certainly it is worth it to visit this church. It may take 10 minutes to walk, as other reviewers wrote but we went by car. It is quite isolated and in the summer it is very hot, so take some wáter with you. The church...More

This very old church offers peace of mind. It is brilliantly located and overseen by many tourists. The architecture is very special, especially on the architraves. It was one of the favourite churches of St. Francis.

This small country church just outside the walls of the beautiful town of Pienza is worth the short walk / detour. It's only a ten minute walk. The setting is nice and there is a gorgeous "Pienza Ring Walk" that takes you out to Villita...More

There's nothing here save for this simple, elegant little church that seems ancient and quite holy. It's strangely haunting and in a beautiful spot. Walk a little further down the road past the church and you'll see the "Gladiator' road.

The silence was broken by the soft sounds of water trickling into the small pool, on the right as you come down the narrow road. Bees were drinking and frogs were sunning themselves in the algae green basin. It was tranquil, empty, essentially still. Though...More

A leisurely twenty minute stroll (downhill) from the centre of Pienza (walk back uphill) will bring you to this amazing church, the original parish church of this area. A stunning crucifix is the least of whats on offer if you like the Romanesque. Beautiful capitals,...More

This Pieve is in a beautiful natural setting just outside Pienza. It features, among others, the rare and remarkable Regal snake and a peculiar cylindric shaped bell tower. Have a stroll and don't miss this unique site.
