Amazing town, must visit if in the region.

Once we found a car park which is always tricky we walked around in the late afternoon. The views are breathtaking. Amazing history, well worth a visit.

Overall a scenic piazza around the center of town, easy to get to and many places to sit. Nothing especially interesting to do here but it's a nice open space to relax in.

One of the most enchanting evenings of our lives was sitting in this piazza in the calm of the evening on the stone steps heated by the day's sun, welcome now as the dusk began to roll in. A band of magical players from France began to draw curious, relaxed, enamored crowds with their accordion, guitar, violin, viola ensemble of... More

We stayed one night inside Pienza. The historical down was indeed very charming - beautiful and peaceful. I got up by 7 and walked around this well-reserved town with few people on the street. There are quite a few good restaurants at the town and they are all very busy at night. We had to call around before we could... More

Perched upon a hill, Pienza is clean and quaint—and on our day, quite quiet. We drove there from our base in Montepulciano. This hilltop community is famous for its group of amazing and harmonious buildings—all built by a wealthy man who would later become a Pope. The piazza is a smallish square, but eloquently designed. The lovely central square is... More

Apart from beautiful city centre, there are plenty of small shops where one can buy marvelous pecorino cheese (typical for this region), with so many different flavours. Also, don't miss a walk through Via dell' amore, or Via del bacio: you'll get to a lovely street with breathtaking view.

we love to walked in the streets of Pianza, it's nice old city, if you have short time don't miss pianza, outside of the main street there is fantastic panorama of all the area.

Amazing! What was able to build and construct in ancient times, when you come here and imagine that people 50 hundred years ago were able to architect such buildings. In fact, I recommend to come here during the night - looks really special, with no crouds of tourists walking around.

I had only one hour to visit Pienza, because i was in a Tour, which included other 2 towns and 2 wine degustations. So, I walked a little bit, tasted some Pecorino Cheese, which is a must-do there, and I stayed a little in the Piazza, that looks very attractive to me.

Pienza is famous for pecorino cheese and being a medieval town. Perched upon a hill, it is very clean and quaint. Only 12km from Montepulciano, perfect place for a stroll and a lunch.
