We finished lunch in DA Mimi and went for a 20 min walk up to the Monestero. We did the tour and tasted the local cheeses, lemoncello and fruits for only €20 euro. The panoramic view from the top are simply out of this world. The city of Naples along the shore. Vesuvius Ischia, and Capri . It's an amazing... More

A short walk from the village of St Agata, the Monastery is beautiful. Climb the steps of the belvedere and you are rewarded with absolutely breathtaking views.

The best part of this destination, as others have commented, are the views looking across both gulfs: towards Naples and Vesuvius and towards Capri and across the Gulf of Salerno. The site is generally open from 10am to noon and again in the late afternoon. We walked from Sant' Agata on a couple of occasions when the weather was sunny.... More

Travelled on the little train but others walked up. Worth it for the great view. We had a lovely clear day.

Our Hotel was located few meters far from this place! At the checkin the Receptionist recommended us to visit the Monastery. It's an amazing location, it's possible to see both the bay of Naples and the bay of Salerno. The Panorama is breathtaking

We visited this location on the local 'Dotto' Land Train. The driver obtained the key to the bell tower, allowing us to admire the wonderful views from above the top of the building. We were given a brief resume of the location, including that it is presently inhabited by twelve Nuns. It can be easily reached on foot being just... More

On a good day the views of Vesuvius and Capri from the tower are well worth the walk up from the town.

This was a nice few hours going around different places if you do not have a car and very entertaining, you do need to pre- book because its popular, and over priced but then everything is now days, 20 euro each so a lot for family of four.

We stopped here on the blue train tour.first stop out of sant Agata and what a view.peaceful grounds and a climb to the top of the tower with views over the bay. The steps to the tower may be difficult for older folk or those with a disability but worth it if you can manage

A great old building on top of a hill with a terrific view of the bay of Naples and the surrounding countryside. The downside was the 84 steps to the top of the Monastery.
