Trim is by far the best castle in Ireland to visit. Pay for the tour (or get a Heritage Card), it is well worth it. Our tour guide, Pat, did an excellent job of giving the history of the castle along with some other interesting...More

Hard to believe that before 1993 this was a local mini golf course. Braveheart was filmed here in 1994 and it was 'discovered'. Prior to that it was simply a local ruin. What they have done with this is nothing short of fantastic. Before taking...More

We took the guided tour, and it was wonderful. The views of Yellow Steeple, sheep gate, the River Boyne, and St. Patrick's church add to the magic.

Hi, Gwen. What would you like to know about this attraction? Did you take a tour from Dublin...or a tour at the castle to see the Trim Castle??

We were in a bus trip! Our bus driver gave us information outside the castle about it's construction and purpose. He then gave us a little information inside, and then left us on our own to explore!

We will be in Trim on a Sunday. Do they do tours on a Sunday? From the website, it looks like they only do them Monday thru Friday this time of year. Thank you.

I think you are correct about them not being open. This was our second time there and the first time they were closed also.
Can you purchase advance tickets?

There is no need ,the queues are small .Trim Castle hotel is the best place to stay directly opposite and located walking distance from everything in the town .
