Trim Castle is a wonderful place to visit, just north of Dublin. This Castle is very large and imposing and a short distance from Bru Na Boine. The movie Braveheart was filmed there as well!!!

A very picturesque castle, it is huge and sprawling. While in ruins, enough is left for you to imagine the power it represented all these centuries ago. At night, it is lighted and quite lovely. If you don’t want to visit the inside, there is...More

This castle is very well preserved, and the guides provide a wealth of information about its history, design, and place in the larger development of Anglo-Irish relations in the medieval period. My wife and I learned a lot!

This is a beautiful castle, a nice little walk around. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. Worth doing whilst you're there. My only downside is I could hardly hear most of what she was saying due to the kids and restless children! Had to keep...More

Went on the guided tour of the castle. Only €5. The woman who took the tour was lovely and well educated on the castle. This is a must see for anyone visiting Trim.

Yes the tours are at regular times, you should go and google Trim Castle and find the seasonal information. The tour lasts about 45 minutes and is very infoprmative and amusing.

We were in a bus trip! Our bus driver gave us information outside the castle about it's construction and purpose. He then gave us a little information inside, and then left us on our own to explore!
