Really enjoyed visiting the Monastery of Panagia Spilliani on the outskirts of Pythagoria in Samos. Although it is an up hill walk, it's well worth the effort as the atmosphere here is so peaceful and it has wonderful views of the coast. There is a small gift shop and a courtyard where you can sit and absorb the wonderful atmosphere.... More

This was a chapel in a cave which on those very hot days is very cool. I remember my mum talking about it as she attended as a little child. We actually got escorted down to the chapel by the freindliest cat.

This monastery is lovely in its location high above Pythagorion on the island of Samos. There is plenty to see here and there are thoughtfully placed benches where one can sit to enjoy the wonderful view. When we were there, there were also a few small kittens (the Greeks just love cats making then very worthwhile people in my book)... More

Well looked after the church was unbelievable. Went with a tour guide worthwhile. The surrounding hills added to the views of the Monestery.
