We found this beach to one of the finest of the island, the sand is clean and soft under foot, and you can choose to use the luxury sun loungers for 4 euros per day,or put your towel down on the free areas. There are free toilets, changing huts and showers, all of which are kept in good working order,... More

I absolutely enjoyed this beach daily snd at night. You have two parts, you can rent umbrellas and two seatings for the whole day for 7 euros and also there is a part where you can just sit and enjoy for free, love sandy beaches, really enjoyed. Sneaking at night and enjoying a night swim is also possible!

Having been in Kefalonia for 2 weeks, on both the east and west side, it was nice to be on a sandy beach compared with the stony type on the east side of the island. Makis Gialos is at the heart of the touristy areas and draws the crowds. Parking and the walk down to the beach is worth it.... More

Great beach if not a little busy. Plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. Beautiful clear blue sea and soft sand

Superb sandy beach for all the family. Very clean and shallow for some way so ideal for children. Swim a little way out to get the joys of swimming in deeper water. Water sports area clearly marked off so very safe. Good range of water sports available. Having travelled around island over several years I can confirm that this is... More

Fantastic beach, very beautiful better than Barbados IMO. Wonderful sea experience, beautifully clear and gorgeous with little fish close to the beach. Very good bar and resturant, with staff coming to loungers bring drinks and taking money. Changing huts and foot showers are useful. Would not go in high season as it's mega popular and that would not be fun... More

This beach is so nice, very clean and big enough that you can be away from others if you want to. The cost of sun beds in really good too. Two sun beds and an umbrella was 8 euros. There are showers, changing rooms and toilets on the beach which are very clean. There is also a snack bar there... More
