Half way between the town of Santa Elena and the Santa Elena Preserve the Sky Walk is located: This complex use trails, suspension bridges for a more tranquil introduction to the ecology and natives of the forest canopy, constructed within the cloud forest. It allows a vision of the forest from a different perspective which starts with a walk on the ground taking you up to explore the treetops, a hardly discovered habitat, called the “canopy” with a naturalist guide. Also discover the night wildlife at our Sky Walk Night Tour.

We did the walk in the morning (8am), before the crowds so it was just a couple of people on the bridges and trails. The views are amazing from the bridges, I would say this is a must in the region. We saw some wildlife,...More

This was really cool. There are a lot of hanging bridges that are really fun to walk over. We saw some Spider monkeys in the trees and some other animal called a Guatuso. It was a lot of fun. Kids would love this hike.

Loved the walk among the hanging bridges. Little shaky but a fun experience. The guide was excellent telling us all sorts of interesting facts and even spotting a sloth we would have walked right by. He was able to answer all our questions. The walk...More

A very nice walk above the beautiful flora and fauna of the Cloud forest. The view 155 meters above the valley floor puts you above tallest trees and ferns. Sensory quiet among a huge tourist trap. When you back into that trap you are refreshed.

We opted for the unguided walk, and were utterly underwhelmed. It felt like walking through woods that could have been anywhere, we saw and heard absolutely zero wildlife, and the view from the hanging bridges was not particularly spectacular. For that, we paid $88 for...More

We had booked the triple ticket here. This included the cloud forest walk, cable car and zip lining. The cloud forest walk of about 2 hours very pleasant, and we understand you do not get animals etc to command. But this was pretty boring. Great...More

Recently have a guided tour around Santa Elena skywalk. It was a great experience to be up in the canopy of the forest. I had a guided tour as I tend to miss everything, so I found that useful to point things out that otherwise...More

Enjoyed the walk, but no good if you don't like swinging bridges. A bit steep in between some of the bridge's. You need to be quite fit

Went on about an hour walk and over 6 hanging bridges above the forest floor. Even some people with height issues were ok. Bridges wing a little but are pretty solid. The forest is dense fauna with lots of diversity. The paths are well marked...More

A very interesting guided walk with a very knowledgeable guide. Best in a group of no more than four so you can hear and see everything

You can certainly do it on your own. That's what I did. You will mostly see pristine cloud forests from the hanging bridges and some exotic birds if you are lucky. There is really not much a guide can add to your experience... More
