Cool frogs and funny guides!!

Was great to see all the different frogs in one place, best to go during the day when there is some sunlight.

The guide on our visit, Deivi (Davy), was really energetic and great fun. We went after dark at 6pm and went from frog to frog, learning about each. It was fun to search their environments, and Deivi helped get AMAZING pictures!! Bring your phone! Leave your fancy camera in the car. Seriously. My 3 year old daughter had fun and... More

Visited the Herpetarium further up the road on the same day and it showed clearly how poor this 'attraction' is. They insisted on a guided tour rather than giving us a torch to make our own way around in our own time and had a lot fewer exhibits.

David, our guide was the most knowledgeable enthusiastic young man. He found the frogs where we could see one.... ok, would be great to see them in the forest but this was an amazing hour spent!

Your tickets get you admittance twice! Once at night and once during the day! We went at night and we were unable to return for a day visit. Most of the the frogs are nocturnal. We had a fantastic guide named David, so knowledgeable! David was great with everyone in our group of 8. He really helped people get some... More

Colorful poison dart frogs, frogs that eat chickens, translucent glass frogs, and the beautiful red legged tree frog were just some of the frogs we enjoyed learning about during our night tour at the Monteverde Frog Pond. Our guide, Alan, was extremely knowledgeable, entertaining, and good with both kids and adults. We visited after dark (around 6:30pm) and were glad... More

We loved this informative tour of the frog enclosures. It's difficult to see these tiny creatures in the wild, so this was the next best thing. Our guide was very knowedgeable, great at finding hiding frogs, and an expert with getting pictures with my iphone. Yes the frogs are in enclosures, but they are large and natural looking. We went... The frogs are in special terrariums, so it is not really a frog "pond". Also not very easy to see the frogs without a guide pointing them out. Our guide was excellent and I learned more than I thought possible about these little creatures. Almost impossible to find them in the wild, especially in the dry season. Certainly worth a... More

Went here because the weather was so bad. It was a good call !. We saw lots of frogs (even though it was day time). Blue Jeans, Glass, Poison Dart you name it, they had it. The guide was in the price for a 45 minute tour. Really friendly staff got us a taxi as the weather was so bad... More

We visited on the 11/01/17 and did a guided tour for $13,50. Our guide Alonso made knew a lot and made the information easy to understand and fun to listen to. Even tho we came in the afternoon we saw a lot of cute frogs. They recommend to come back after 6pm since most frogs are nocturnal. Thank you!
