Pretty amazing selection of trees an plants, several well over 100 years old. Without a guide, we would have totally missed nearly all of the interesting trees; ironwood, nutmeg, coffee, starfruit, ficus, yohimbe, and many palms. Intreresting medicinal uses for many plants too. There is a large site map at the entrance, but only tiny old marks on some trees.... More

We loved walking through the gardens at this sanctuary for fauna . There are amazing century aged trees and buildings. We enjoyed getting of the path and walking by the river where we found manificiant trees.

We were visiting Cameroon with one of my best friends, who is from Cameroon. She was shocked at the state of the gardens, but we nevertheless had a superinteresting experience. The guide we had knew everything about every tree. I was down with a cold and sneezing and coughing my way through, when he kindly offered me a leaf from... More

I read the other reviews and agree that the signage and general information could be better. However, it a lovely way to pass a few hours walking through a cared for garden that has a large array of fascinating plants and runs alongside the river. The entrance is 1000CAF for foreigners, pictures are 2000CAF per device and a guide can... More

Very well laid out, with lots of different plants, a natural amphitheatre. Highlight was visiting the British War Graves there.

I have visited most of the beaches on the west coast of Africa. Seme Beach is one of the most beautiful beach on the west coast of Africa. You definitely want to experience beach life at Seme beach when you are on visit to Cameroon.

Beautiful green grounds to wander in, and nice place to go for a morning run. But it is very rundown as an institution. For CFA3000 entrance fee they could at least hand out a photocopied map and description. The signboards are all decayed and unreadable. There is a large map posted at the entrance hut - so take a photo... More

Beautiful garden but poorly maintained. Paid alot for entrance fees, no one to guide us through the garden. No flyers to even describe the trees or garden. Poor poor service not very encouraging for a tourist. If you just want to see, just go and see the garden.

Even the dreary weather could not destroy the beauty of this setting. The Gamba? (enormous prawns) were largest I have ever eaten. My wife's fried plantains were so sweet. It was a little difficult to find and get to, but it was worth the effort.

Well worth a vist if you need a break from the noise and bustle of Limbe. Not far out of town. Suffers from lack of information. There seem to have been information boards in the past but the weather and lack of funding has rendered them unreadable now.
