Keep walking over to Dantita if you've made it this far. Cool spot, but swimming, etc. is much better up the path.

We loved Playa Danta. Unfortunately, we were only able to enjoy it for a few of the 8 days we were in Costa Rica due to a Red Tide issue. Would have loved to spend more time.

A welcoming, laid-back beach area with rocking chairs on the general store porch, tree-covered, beach sand café/restaurant with picnic tables serving excellent food and reasonable prices. A good place to chill out and wear your bathing suits.

Quick 2 minute golf cart ride from our hotel Casa Chameleon. This is a car-free beach. It was quiet, not crowded, and had amazing views. Playa Dantita was right next to it and accessible by beach when it was low tide or by a fun...More

We are staying at the Casa Chameleon hotel overlooking Las Catalina’s. They are building a large resort complex out of the surrounding beach and low hills. A mix of private homes and high end condos. Luckily, the development is being done to enhance the area...More
