We were staying in Begur but loved to do our food shopping in Palafrugell. The fish market and adjacent food market are fantastic. Whilst not cheap, the variety and quality of the produce is second to none. Also lots of choice regarding vegetables and fruit as well. Definitely worth a visit even for people spotting and “window” shopping! Wonderful atmosphere with lots of locals and authentic Catalan atmosphere.…

Great Sunday morning market for Catalonian cuisine, local fresh vegetables, fruit, clothes etc. etc. The fish market in particular supplies excellent high quality produce, not cheap but the best quality you'll find. The local vendors are all friendly and sociable.

Well worth travelling in to Palafrugell to do your shopping at this market. There is a wonderful selection of fresh fish, a great selection of good fruit and veg plus the selection of cheeses and meats and prepared meals. And stop by for a good cup of coffee in the Main Square under the shade of umbrellas watching all the locals get together for a chat and a fresh orange juice…
